"Grunt.. Just what IS in here?" A rather worried John Shepard asked his krogan friend. Grunt had sat down a rather neatly wrapped present for the two men, with something moving inside. "It's a puppy." The tank bred replied. "A.. Puppy? Grunt, I do hope you know what that is on Earth." Kaidan said looking at the wrapped puppy inside the box. The two were instantly worried when they heard "heh-heh-heh-heh."
Shepard slowly began to peel off the nicely done ribbon on the box and undo the wrapping paper. Removing the lid was indeed a "puppy." A puppy varren. "Grunt.." The major said rubbing his head as Grunt grinned wickedly. "John, we can't- John?" Kaidan was taken back to see the varren cuddled into the commander's arms looking upwards at the human.
"She likes you. I guess Alenko's got competition now, huh?" replied the krogan. Kaidan apparently didn't hear him as he watched his boyfriend scratch the beasts head with a small bark coming from her. Shepard only looked at Kaidan, which was all it took for the biotic to raise a white flag and give in. "You're taking care of it, Commander." Kaidan stated as Grunt chuckled again. "She is.. Cute. Well cuter than the other varrens I've seen before. What's her name?" Kaidan smiled as he also scratched the new pet's forehead who leaned into the hand. "Shock Top" John answered, the only thing heard was "heh-heh-heh-heh."
