It was childish. Stupid, really. In the long run, what they were arguing about was forgotten. Gone with the wind. They say you shouldn't go to bed angry. So much for that. The two men laid opposite ways that night. There was no cuddling, no embracing. No physical contact. Shepard wasn't able to get a wink of sleep, as for Kaidan he could hear the man's soft snoring.
"I need a smoke" Rev muttered to himself getting out of the bed and into the kitchen. Rev has a aggressive nature, as do all things. But he doesn't enjoy fighting with his boyfriend. Especially after the reoccurring nightmares that still haunt him. He's woken up screaming and Kaidan is always there to bring him back to solid ground. Holding him and shushing him softly. He barely got any sleep the night before, which only made it worse.
After taking another puff, Rev heard footsteps come up from behind him. He knew it was too early to be awake. "Hey." Kaidan said softly, putting his arms around the commander's waist. "Rev. I'm sorry." Kaidan said then continued, "You barely got any sleep the night before and then I make a huge fuss at you for not wanting to do anything. I was being an idiot." Rev felt Kaidan rest his head against his shoulder and killed the cigarette and threw it in the bin.
"I'm sorry too. I'm just really tired.." Shepard said rubbing his eyes. taking his hand, Kaidan led his boyfriend back to the bed. This time returning to their usual embracing slumber. "Tomorrow, I'll get out and do something productive." Rev said yawning. "I don't mind sleeping in. Whatever you want. I love you." Kaidan responded with a kiss hearing the other man say the same back to him.
