Shepard had been holed up in his quarters for what seemed like ages. Every fifteen minutes another data pad in his hands. Numbers of casualties being scanned and updated by the moment. He picked up another one and a small sigh of relief came when he read the reports:

Mercenary engineering units dispatched to Crucible construction site. Blue Sun and Blood Pack giving support to Reaper infested systems. Remaining on Omega for final assault. Talon forces dispatched to Palaven and Sur'kesh. Casualties decreased by .44 percent.

His hand reached to grab another tablet when suddenly the doors to his cabin opened and walking in was Kaidan. Kaidan knew the commander was doing everything he could do and way more. Far more than what would be expected from any military commander. "Kaidan, sorry babe now's... Not a good time." Rev rubbed his eyes picking up the tablet but was stopped when it was taken by the other man's hand.

"With this war, there's never a good time. But you need to take a break, just like everyone else." Kaidan responded, slowly putting the datapad aside. "Right. One of those 'reality checks'."

The major's lips grew to a small smile. "But does Thessia? Does Earth? Hell, what about them? Thessia I've already let down. I don't see-"

"Shut up."

Rev was a little taken back as the major cut him off and pulled him closer to him. "We all know damn well Cerberus is to blame. Especially Kai Leng." Kaidan reassured for what was the tenth time. Rev's head fell on Kaidan's shoulder. He was tired. SO tired. "You find out about your dad?"

Kaidan blinked a few times when hearing this. With all with what's going on, Rev still keeps the major's father in mind. "Not yet. They're doing all they can while searching for him." Kaidan took Shepard's hand, squeezing it. "If it were you, I'd drop everything I was doing and find you. No matter what. I would find you." Rev smiled and yawned, his eyes growing heavy. He was SO tired.
