Kaidan briskly stepped into the Med Bay, where he saw Shepard on one of those really uncomfortable looking stretchers. Dr. Chakawas scanned up and down Rev's body for what was probably the twelfth time now.
"How's he holding up, doc?" Kaidan asked. The silver haired woman was looking into her screen on the monitor, running through what looked like results from her scanning. "He's fine, actually. Very surprising, how he survived a physical blow from a Cerberus atlas, of all things. Admiral Hackett has issued him to take the time to recover. It was rather..."
"Yeah, I was there." Rev sat up slowly. "Rev, whoa." Kaidan managed to catch the commander from falling onto the med bay floor, Rev groaning painfully. It felt like that turian bomb was going off in his head. "Commander, Hackett has ordered you to take time to recover. I have a prescribed medication that will further-" Shepard began to shake his head while trying to voice his dissaproval. "Doctor's orders, Shepard." The major commented, getting a 'fine' from the other man.
It took them about twenty minutes to get to the elevator, then to the cabin. The bed came into full view when the doors opened. Carefully, the two men made it to what was actually a comfortable mattress. "I don't wanna." Kaidan couldn't help but smile hearing his commander complain like a four year old.
After taking his medication, Shepard found himself cradled by Kaidan. "What exactly...happened when the...Atlas.um..." Rev's speech was beginning to slur from the effects of the pills. "I blew it up of course. Then I took out the engineer inside it and used a shockwace on him, his head flying off into pieces. Then I saw you and immediately picked you up and yelled for Cortez to pick us up." Shepard vividly remembered Mars. That must have been the same feeling Kaidan was feeling. "Then I took the commander to the med bay and you know the rest."
"I like.. Happy endings.." Shepard muttered before falling asleep. Kaidan planted a kiss onto Rev's forehead, knowing there was going to be a big happy ending to the end of the war. Soon his eyes began to grow heavy and nestled into Rev and fell asleep.
