Kaidan shifted as his arm reached over instinctively to the other man. Feeling a gap where Rev sleeps, Kaidan slowly opened his eyes. "Sorry. I wake you up?" Rev was sitting at the edge of the bed, his head in his hands. 'He must have had that dream again.' Kaidan thought to himself.

Kaidan pulls back his commander to the pillows by one arm, whispering in his ear. Rev told Paid an about his dream. About the dark woods, the whispering shadows, and that boy from earth... That boy he couldn't save. He still remembers watching the shuttle being obliterated by the Reaper destroyer.

Kaidan doesn't stop, not for Shepard's sake nor his. "You weren't able to do anything" "You did the best you could" He's been told these same replies by a million people a million times over in many ways. Kaidan knows that. The least he can do is make sure Rev closes his eyes before his own do.
